Frequently asked questions
- Why are sessions not showing up? If you believe that you properly completed Installation, navigate to your Sessions page, click Display Options, and enable Show ongoing sessions. If no sessions display, navigate to a webpage with the script installed, open Developer Console, click Sources, and make sure you see rec.sessionrewind.com.
- Where did my in-progress sessions go? If you previously saw ongoing sessions but now do not see them as completed sessions, it is because Session Rewind does not display completed “micro-sessions” which have less than 4 seconds of user activity.
- How do I identify users? You can identify users within the Installation script or with our SDK.
- How do I define events? Open any session and click Timeline to see and save individual events.
- Can I record mobile sessions? Session Rewind can record activity on any device, but is not available via native apps at this time.
- What is the definition of a session? A session is defined as any uninterrupted period of activity of up to 3 hours by an individual website visitor. An interruption occurs where there is a 30-minute period without activity. After that, or a total of 3 hours, activity from the same website visitor will initiate a new session.
